North Pole, Alaska is a small community about 15 miles Southeast of Fairbanks. It originated around a gift and novelty shop called Santa Claus House.
This is not the original Santa Claus House, but the newer edition is a very popular tourist attraction. |
North Pole has a unique ZIP Code and postmark. Santa Claus House will process letters from Santa with a North Pole Postal Stamp.
This mural is on the side of the Santa Clause House. It is very popular to get a photo next to these murals. |
This statue of Santa is located next to the Santa Claus House and stands about 50 feet high.
Santa's RV Park is right next to the giant Santa. It is constantly full from Memorial Day to Labor Day. |
My home is on a small community airstrip in North Pole (about 1 1/2 mile from Santa Claus House). This is a view of N2162Z parked in front of the hangar that is attached to the back of my house. I am sitting in the foreground with my Yellow Lab, Kodi (Chaz's Kodiak Bear Cub). |
